Speed Reading Course – Is Speed Reading Real?

By Nicky

I tend to receive a lot of questions about speed reading and the necessity to follow a speed reading course lately. Before trying something like this out, people would like to know if the art of improving how fast you read is real or not. They are ready to pay for it, but all they need is effectiveness and efficiency after a while spent learning. Do not underestimate speed reading folks. It will help you have a lot of time because when you do something faster and better you are able to increase your working potential and thus you become much more productive. A speed reading course (no matter if you follow one online or go to a class with a teacher) is created to make you improve your reading skills by training your eyes, brain and fingers to work together in providing the best results when it comes to the speed increasing and better comprehending. With the help of a good program for speed reading you are going to have the chance to enjoy a lot of benefits of your life, since the time necessary for reading and understanding a big piece of text is going to be much less than usual. Anyways, one of the first questions that I’m receiving from my readers is, “Does this speed reading thing work for real?”

Is speed reading really working?
Yes guys, everyone who can read can improve his or her reading speed. However, the time required for this skill to be assimilated might differ because how everyone understands these techniques differ. What I am trying to say is that while someone can comprehend most of the techniques and methods used when trying to read faster in just a couple of days and with the help of a serious determination to be able to apply them whenever necessary, others can study for months and still do quite bad when they need to read full block of texts instead of word by word sentences. It all depends on your level of concentration and how fast are you willing to give up your old habits. Sometimes it might be necessary for you guys to understand what speed reading is all about because I think most of you would like to be able to read faster by have no exact goal about. Willing to achieve something (certain results) is going to help a lot because whenever you plan something and try hard to do it your level of motivation is one hundred times bigger and you know that sooner or later your goal is going to become a reality. When it comes to reading faster and improving the comprehension speed, it all works the same. If you went to a speed reading course and superficially followed a program that was designed especially for people with no experience in fast reading and you had no success it doesn’t mean that speed reading doesn’t work. Most of the people that try to learn this art actually achieve results because they need to apply these skills somewhere. Students would like to be able to read more stuff without wasting a lot of time. Business people have their own priorities as well. That’s why it is good to say that speed reading works whenever you are determined to make it work, not otherwise.

The skepticism about speed reading courses
I see more and more people being quite skeptical and not believing in the efficiency of speed reading courses. I believe this is due to the appearance of a lot of online programs for improving your fast reading skills. While some people realize that having a teacher in front of you attentively explaining everything is much better than reading yourself all the information from a book and trying to apply without having someone to consult with, still more and more prefer not to spend their monies when it comes to a speed reading course. I believe that this is a little bit stupid. If you want to get something right you have to invest in it, otherwise it doesn’t make sense and you always have that feeling that it does really work. You shouldn’t be skeptical about fast reading unless you really try hard to achieve results using this program. All you need is free your mind of unwanted thoughts, speak less and be present at every class and session that is performed. When you are attentive your mind is able to understand things several times better. During a speed reading program you are going to be told that sometimes, the lack of focusing is the reason why people aren’t able to proof read everything with the speed of light and be able to reproduce that information without any problems at all. So no matter if you are involved into a course or not yet, don’t be skeptical unless you finish it and have some motivation do have it done right.

The overwhelming majority of people who want to study the art of reading fast and want to do it in order to be able to save some time actually succeed. Their success is based on the goal that they have not on a vague motivational reason. So, if you want to have the same results that most of the people who come to this blog have, you need to stop thinking negatively about the effects and potential of speed reading. Do your simple math and try to understand this scientifically. There is no magic here. There are no tricks. During a speed reading course you are going to be presented very logical techniques that a speed reading student should apply in order to obtain maximum results in his fast reading. His performance will gradually grow, based on the level of training and on the time spend while practicing. Knowing the methods of speed reading doesn’t actually make you a fast reader. Everything comes with practice and if you don’t get the importance of daily training in order to become better and to gather more experience you are always going to be skeptical about speed reading and walk around asking people if this is real or not.

Stop wasting your precious time, follow a speed reading course today and learn how to comprehend things better!
